Introduction to the pattern hub

The Pattern Hub is a collection of pre-designed sections and layouts built specifically for your store. Instead of building every part of your website from scratch, you can browse a library of professionally designed elements—like "Meet the Team" sections, pricing tables, or hero banners—and drop them directly into your pages.

How to use the Pattern Hub

  1. Open a page or post: In your WordPress dashboard, go to Pages and click Edit on the page where you want to add a new design.
  2. Open the library: At the top of the editor, click the blue Design Library button.
  3. Browse the categories: Use the sidebar to filter by the type of section you need, such as "Features," "Testimonials," or "About."
  4. Preview and select: Click on a pattern to see how it looks. Once you find one you like, click it to insert it directly into your page.
  5. Customize the content: Click on the text or images within the pattern to replace them with your own. The pattern will automatically adopt your store’s global colors and fonts.

Practical scenarios

  • Announcing a sale: Use a "Hero" pattern on your homepage to create a large, eye-catching banner with a "Shop Now" button.
  • Building a FAQ page: Instead of manually formatting list items, insert a "FAQ" pattern to keep your questions and answers organized and easy to read.
  • Highlighting services: If you run a restaurant or service-based business, use a "Features" pattern to display your offerings with icons and short descriptions.

Troubleshooting common issues

The pattern colors don’t match my brand
Patterns are designed to inherit your site’s "Global Styles." If the colors look off, check your settings under Appearance > Customize > Colors. Any changes you make there will update the patterns automatically.

The layout looks different after I insert it
Sometimes the width of your page affects how a pattern displays. If it looks too narrow, check the Page Settings in the right-hand sidebar and ensure your "Page Layout" is set to "Normal" or "Full Width."

I can’t find the Design Library button
The Pattern Hub is part of the Kadence blocks system. If you don’t see the blue button at the top of your editor, make sure you are using the standard WordPress block editor and not a legacy editor.

Recap

The Pattern Hub saves you time by providing ready-made layouts that you can customize in minutes. It ensures your store looks professional without requiring any design or coding experience.
