How to add a logo to WooCommerce emails

Customizing your email header is one of the quickest ways to make your store look professional. When customers receive an order confirmation or a shipping update, seeing your logo at the top of the message builds trust and ensures your branding stays consistent from checkout to delivery.

How to upload your logo

WooCommerce handles email branding through a centralized settings page. Follow these steps to add your logo:

  1. Log in to your WooShop Dashboard.
  2. Go to WooCommerce > Settings in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the Emails tab at the top of the page.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to the Email template section.
  5. Find the Header image field. Click Add media (or Upload) to choose your logo from your library.
  6. Once the image is selected, the file URL will appear in the box.
  7. Scroll to the very bottom and click Save changes.

Best practices for email logos

Because email layouts are narrower than most websites, how you prepare your logo matters.

  • Width and height: Aim for a logo width between 300px and 600px. If the image is too wide, it may stretch or break the layout on mobile devices.
  • File format: Use a transparent PNG if you have a colored background in your emails. If your email background is white, a high-quality JPG works perfectly.
  • Keep it simple: Detailed taglines or small text under your logo often become unreadable in an email inbox. Use a simplified version of your logo if necessary.

Troubleshooting common issues

The logo looks too big or too small
WooCommerce doesn’t have a "drag to resize" tool for email logos. You will need to resize the image file on your computer (for example, to 400px wide) and upload it again.

The logo looks blurry
This usually happens if the image file is too small. Try uploading a version that is twice the size you want it to appear. For example, if you want it to look 300px wide, upload a 600px wide image. This keeps it sharp on "Retina" or high-resolution smartphone screens.

The logo isn’t showing up at all
Make sure your image URL starts with https://. If you recently moved your site or changed domains, the old link might be broken. Re-uploading the image through the "Add media" button usually fixes this.

Next steps

Now that your logo is set, you can also adjust the "Base color" and "Body text color" on the same Emails tab to match your brand’s color palette.
