How to manage your subscription
Managing your WooShop subscription keeps your store running smoothly and ensures you have the right resources as your business grows. You can handle billing details, plan changes, and invoices directly from your dashboard without needing to contact support.
How to update your subscription
Follow these steps to view or change your current plan:
- Log in to your WooShop account dashboard.
- Navigate to Account in the side menu and select Billing & Subscriptions.
- On this page, you will see your active plan, the next renewal date, and your current price.
- To change your tier, click Switch Plan. Choose the new plan that fits your current store volume and click Confirm.
- To update your billing information, click Payment Methods. From here, you can add a new credit card or set a different default payment option.
- To download past receipts for your taxes or records, scroll down to the Invoice History section and click the download icon next to any date.
Common scenarios
Upgrading for a busy season
If you expect a surge in traffic—such as during a Black Friday sale or a local event—you might want to move to a higher plan temporarily. This ensures your store remains fast and responsive under heavy loads. You can move back to your original plan once the busy period ends.
Updating an expired card
If your bank issues you a new card, update your payment details before the next billing cycle. This prevents any service interruptions or the store going into "Maintenance Mode" due to a failed payment.
Troubleshooting
- Payment failed notification: If you receive an email about a failed payment, check your bank first to ensure the transaction wasn’t flagged. Then, go to the Payment Methods tab to re-enter your card details or try a different card.
- Plan changes not appearing: If you just upgraded but don’t see the new features yet, try logging out and back in. This usually refreshes your account status.
- Cannot find the cancel button: If you decide to close your shop, the cancellation option is located at the bottom of the Subscription tab. Note that cancelling will take your store offline at the end of the current billing period.
Keeping your subscription details current ensures your WooCommerce store remains live and your customers can keep placing orders without interruption.
