Configuring advanced Pro theme settings
Advanced Pro theme settings give you more control over your shop’s layout and functionality. While the standard settings handle your basic colors and fonts, the Pro features allow you to add specific elements like countdown timers, custom headers, and specialized product layouts that help your store stand out.
How to access and configure Pro settings
- Log in to your WooShop dashboard and go to Appearance > Customize.
- Look for the Kadence Pro or WooCommerce tabs in the sidebar. These contain the advanced styling options.
- To enable specific Pro modules (like Hooked Elements or Header Addons), go to Appearance > Kadence in your main dashboard first. Toggle on the features you need.
- Return to the Customize screen. You will now see new options available within the Header, Footer, and WooCommerce menus.
- Adjust your settings and use the desktop, tablet, and mobile icons at the bottom of the sidebar to see how your changes look on different devices.
- Click Publish to save your changes.
Practical uses for Pro settings
- Create a "Sticky" Header: If you want your navigation menu and cart icon to stay at the top of the screen as customers scroll down your product list, go to Header > Sticky Header and enable it. This keeps the checkout process just one click away at all times.
- Add a Free Shipping Bar: Use the Header Addons to place a simple HTML area or a widget at the very top of your site. You can use this to highlight a discount code or a "Free shipping on orders over $50" message.
- Custom Product Tabs: Instead of the standard "Description" and "Reviews" tabs on a product page, use the Pro WooCommerce settings to add a "Sizing Guide" or "Shipping Info" tab that appears across all products.
Troubleshooting common issues
Changes aren’t appearing on the live site
This is usually caused by caching. If you’ve clicked "Publish" but don’t see the update, clear your browser cache or click the "Clear Cache" button in your top admin bar.
The layout looks messy on mobile
Pro settings often have separate controls for mobile devices. If a header looks cramped, go back to the Customizer, click the mobile icon, and adjust the "Header Layout" specifically for smaller screens. You may need to use a "Toggle" or "Hamburger" menu instead of showing all links.
A specific Pro feature is missing from the Customizer
If you expect to see a setting but it isn’t there, check Appearance > Kadence. Ensure the specific toggle for that feature (like "WooCommerce Addons" or "Header Addons") is switched to On.
Recap
Fine-tuning your Pro settings allows you to move beyond a standard template and build a shop that fits your specific business needs. Start with one area—like the header or the product page—and test your changes on mobile before moving to the next section.
